The Visual and Performing Arts Academy (VPAA) at Larkin High School provides smaller class sizes to allow for an emphasis in a particular area. In addition to academy classes, there is an array of AP and Honors courses available to all Larkin students. The VPAA provides a focused HONORS curriculum in five areas: Dance, Drama, Visual Art, Instrumental Music, and Vocal Music. Through the academy, there are many opportunities to perform in a variety of settings – at school, in the community and at the state level. There are also multiple travel and field trip opportunities in the Arts. By being in the VPAA, you get to enjoy an arts enriched education that is fun, yet challenging and rewarding!
Students accepted into the academy who have a different home school will be bused to and from Larkin.
